FAQ

Q: What are you fees/Do you accept insurance?

Fees will be discussed and established during the initial evaluation with the clinician. We do not accept payments from insurance providers. Receipts that include all the information needed for a reimbursement will be provided. Our services are considered “out of network” by insurance providers and are reimbursed at a rate that is different from “in network.” Please make sure to find out your insurance provider’s rate of reimbursement prior to contacting us. We accept credit and debit Visa/MasterCard, and check. See our Payment Info form for more information. All patients must sign Consent for Treatment and Fee Agreement forms.

  • Our fees for individual therapy vary between $45 to $160 per 50 minute session
  • Group sessions are $25
  • The varying rate is on a sliding scale determined by annual income.
  • See our Payment Info form for more information.

Q: Are you accepting new patients?

The ASC is not currently accepting new patients.

Q: What is your approach?

The Anxiety and Stress Clinic believes that the most effective treatments for anxiety and depression rely on the scientific method. Our therapists utilize evidence-based methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP). CBT is an empirically supported treatment for anxiety disorders, and has a learning-based approach in which you will learn and practice skills for weakening patterns of anxious thinking and behavior. Treatment is tailored to your specific needs, rather than being “one size fits all.”

Q: Do you prescribe medications?

We do not prescribe medications.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please call within 24 hours of your appointment. Otherwise, you will be charged the full price of the missed appointment.

Q: How does Telehealth work?

Our Telehealth sessions take place using the video-telephony software program Zoom. Please ensure you are in a private and safe location, free from distractions, with a stable internet connection prior to beginning your Zoom session. Electronic devices with adequate video and sound capabilities, such as computers and tablets, are preferred to cellular phones.

Q: What if I am having a crisis and need immediate treatment?
